A perfect match to our flush mount gas cap, the informer replaces the bulbous and difficult to read stock fuel gauge. Its sleek, low profile design incorporates both an L.E.D. fuel gauge and an L.E.D. battery gauge. Color-coded L.E.D.s make them readable at a glance from the saddle. A daylight sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the L.E.D.s. they are bright during the day for visibility and dim at night so as not to blind the rider.

The fuel gauge has a string of color coded L.E.D.s to indicate fuel level. When full, a single green L.E.D. will be illuminated at the far end of the string. When the tank is virtually empty, a single red L.E.D. will flash at the beginning of the string. At all fuel levels in-between, there will be two L.E.D.s in the string illuminated at a time. Red L.E.D.s appear from empty to 1/8 tank, amber L.E.D.s appear from 1/4 to 1/2 tank, and green L.E.D.s appear from 5/8 to full. A quick glance is all it takes to know when it's time to refuel.

The Battery Gauge is an array of L.E.D.s that indicate the operating voltage of the bike's electrical system. Green L.E.D.s represent the normal, safe operating range, 12.5v to 14.5v, of your charging system. Amber L.E.D.s warn the rider that the bike is not charging. If the reading drops below 10v or exceeds 15v, a flashing red L.E.D. will alert the rider of an impending stall or the possibility of damage to the battery and/or sensitive electronic components on the motorcycle.
